Now the roof is on our attention turns back to the frames. It is time to install the ply bracing on the exterior walls.
The purpose of the bracing is to prevent lateral movement under high winds or during seismic events. Most houses use gib for bracing we opt for ply because it is more durable and much stronger than gib board.
We nail the ply on the outside of the frames and then cover with our branded Tekton wrap. The next step is to install the soffit board and the house is now ready for windows.
